SERPAS is a proud supporter of Peritoneal Dialysis University for Surgeons (PDU for Surgeons). The course is sponsored jointly by the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and Wake Forest University. SERPAS provides funding for the course through unrestricted educational grants. PDU for Surgeons targets general surgeons in a one-day course comprised of comprehensive didactic instruction and a hands-on surgical laboratory teaching advanced techniques for creating and maintaining peritoneal access. The inaugural course was conducted on November 1, 2010 in San Francisco. Refer to the PDU for Surgeons’ website (www.pdusurgeons.com) for upcoming course dates in 2011 and beyond.
